Stimulating, Exciting & Accessible

St Albans Literary Festival aims to bring together the best local and UK authors in a stimulating, exciting and accessible environment. The festival is a celebration of literature in all its forms, from chick lit and crime fiction through to journalism and poetry, with a range of the best authors working in the UK today. It is open to everyone and with ticket prices as low as possible the event is run by volunteers for the benefit of the community.

Our inaugural festival presented over 40 different events from academic literature, popular fiction, a vibrant children programme and a series of workshops. With over 1600 tickets sold and several drop-in events it started with a bang and we hope to build on this success going forwards.
